Overview
A complete UI design system for Monito — a pet-trading e-commerce store covering both a desktop browse-and-buy flow and a mobile companion experience. The deliverable spans the full visual story: brand colour and typography, a component library (buttons, forms, headers, footers), the desktop product pages, and the mobile screens.
Pet e-commerce sits in an awkward gap — the products are emotional (a new family member), but the workflows are transactional (filter, compare, buy). The design had to feel warm and trustworthy enough that a family commits, while staying structured enough to handle hundreds of listings, filters, and a real checkout flow on both desktop and mobile.
We anchored the system on a navy-and-mustard palette set against soft cream, with Gilroy carrying the entire type stack. A reusable component library — buttons, inputs, dropdowns, header/footer — was shipped before any page so every screen reads as the same product. The desktop story flows from the hero pet through a filterable browse to a detail page; the mobile companion mirrors the same flow inside a phone-first layout.
A polished design system that scales — desktop and mobile share the same components, the same colour story, and the same typography, so every new screen the team builds lands consistent with the rest of the product.
